Elphos is all about sending positive messages using "snail-mail" as the main means of communication.
Why a letter? Why not an email?
When you send a handwritten letter you . . .
- Give someone something they can hold on to – through the good days and the bad.
- Provide a reminder to someone that they are important, and loved.
- Fill someone with hope – in themselves and in the goodness of other people.
- Remind them, on those days when they might feel small and insignificant, that others in the world have been positively impacted by their actions.
- Remind others of the emotional power of letter writing so that they, in turn, can impact the world around them.
Send an annoymous letter, or sign your name. Send a letter to a complete stranger, or to a person that lives next to you. The options for recipients are endless. Just fill a letter with something positive - stick a stamp to it, and send it.

We also host a list of individuals who would love to receive a letter of encouragement from someone. Please feel free to Click Here to check it out and send a letter to someone in need. (Remember, a stranger is only someone whom you’ve never had the opportunity to meet.)
Also, if you would like to receive a letter of encouragement from someone, please add your name to the list.
